Hair Transplant under Sedation

In the simplest sense, sedation can be summarized as the administration of a sedative drug to the patient by the anesthesiologist before the procedure that can cause pain or discomfort.

In sedation, an of analgesic (painkiller) and sedative (slightly numbing, comforting) drug combinations are administered intravenously to the patient. These drugs create a mild drowsiness, a feeling of relaxation and mellowness in the patient.  The patient’s conscious is clear and he/she is able to speak.  Sedation is used during hair transplant operations such as FUE, Sapphire FUE and DHI hair transplant.
