Forehead Lift - Brow Lift
This procedure aims to remove age-related droopy brows and forehead wrinkles.
It is a surgery that is generally performed on patients over the age of 40.
How Forehead and Brow Lift Surgery Works?
This procedure is either surgical or performed by using a set of medical threads which are inserted to the patient’s face, and then the thread is tightened to pull up the skin.
In both procedures, small incisions are made posterior to the hairline and the eyebrows and forehead are pulled upwards with a thread. The thread is stabilized when the desired appearance is achieved.
If it will be a surgical procedure, an incision will be made 4-5 cm inside the hairline. Excess skin is pulled upwards. When the desired appearance is achieved, the excess skin is removed and the incision is stitched after the final form is determined.
What is the Recovery Period after the Surgery?
After the operation, bandages are applied in such a way that the mouth, nose and eyes remain open. Sutures are removed within 10 days. Swelling may occur in the face area. It is necessary to apply ice compresses for the first 48 hours to prevent side effects. The eyebrows will be elevated to the desired level in two weeks and the patient will be able to continue his normal life without the forehead wrinkles.
